“Khrismel” was birthed from a desire to live out my innermost authenticity. Encouraging other women to be their true and authentic self wouldn’t have the same impact if I couldn’t figure it out in my own life first. I love Jesus, nature, fashion, helping people, and going on vacation, but on the surface level, these things don’t seem to have any real connection with each other. It took faith in God, belief in myself and a bit of creativity for me to be able to say this… Welcome to Khrismel, home of my authenticity!

Keeping The Legacy Alive
In its humble beginnings, “Khrismel” was birthed from A & S Hats and Variety Store still ran and operated by my mother on the island of Jamaica. Using her creative brilliance and unparalleled business sense, she made one-of-a-kind hats from scratch, which gradually evolved into styling, wardrobing, and accessorizing with a plethora of apparel choices. In later years as she transitioned with the fashion industry, there came a new line of hats that pushed her out of her comfort zone that she then called “Khrismel” (a combination of my first and middle name). Admiring this bold step and being amazed by her malleable yet authentic stance, I strongly believed that I couldn’t let her creative brilliance come to an end. Instead, I ensured that her legacy would live on in my generation and generations to come.
